PHASE I PHASE I Photo Gallery

A 6,000 sq ft building has been completed and in operation since September 2007.

Scope of the Project:

 

The objective of the project was to add 6 new large classrooms to the existing school to accommodate increased student enrolment. The intent for this phase was to design the new building to accommodate the future addition of a second floor of classrooms and make allowance for the potential to expand the existing gymnasium or add a new gymnasium.

The project was completed, as described in the drawings: six new classrooms on one floor with concrete masonry exterior walls and wood stud/ drywall partition walls. The floor is concrete slab on grade and the roof (future second floor) is constructed with precast concrete panels. Designated boys and girls washrooms and a mechanical room were completed. The building is fully sprinklered and the necessary heating and ventilating was provided. Civil work included a new sanitary, storm and water connection to the new building. Site work included the expansion of the paved parking area, an open courtyard between the old and new buildings and miscellaneous landscape work.

To be completed by September 2010. Projected total cost of the second phase is in the range of $1 million.
